About the Man
Born on the southeast side of Detroit, Michigan, I first discovered my passion for design in 2000 when I was only 16. During that time I began taking graphic design classes learning Adobe Photoshop 5.5 and Illustrator 7. On the side, I learned the basics to Macromedia Flash 4. At the end of 2000, I released my first website, Scary Man's World on http://scaryman.cjb.net. In March of 2002, I became the owner of the site you are viewing now, ScaryMan.com. In 2003, I've released my first web forum, Da' Club Forums, which was a forum that help bring people together and help share ideas and network with one another. It was small at the time, but it was the start of a great thing that became big later on.

In 2004, I decided to further my knowledge in design by attending American InterContinental University. The design fundamentals that I've gained at AIU plus the real world experiences the instructors teach you help prepare you physically and mentally for the work force. While at AIU, my design skill increased as I was learning more programs such as Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools and modo. With these new skills plus the knowledge I've gained in the past, it helped make me a versatile designer.

In December of 2007, I will be graduating from Amercian InterContinental University with my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Digital Animation.

Why do you call yourself Scary Man?
This is the question that gets asked to me ALL the time. Why do I call myself "Scary Man?" ; or Where do you get the name "Scary Man" from?

I will explain it all.

This name stuck with me since I was 15. I wanted to be different. There's Spider-Man, Superman, Batman.... so I figured... NO ONE would take the name "Scary Man" so I decided to go by that.

My name is not really literal. Scary Man, to me, is an entity that represents what is "different". What you see is NOT always what you get. You're expecting me to be a Scary person? WRONG.

What Scary Man represents what is NOT straightforward. I be in my OWN world. I have my OWN boundaries. My OWN path. My OWN way of thinking.

I tend to represent all of that through my work. I try to make myself STAND out from the rest in it. In my work, I represent uniqueness and complexity. I like my work to stand out from the rest.

If you want to be literal with the name then "Scary Man" or "Scary" is really a contradiction to who I'm truly am as far as personality. The name somehow stuck with me. Catchy. Once people start to know me, they stop worrying bout the meaning behind my alias. I'm actually a nice guy, and I'm not all that of a Scary person...til u get on my bad side.

What is Scary Man Studios?
Scary Man Studios is the name of my business. My alias, Scary Man, is the corporate identity for my business. Instead of promoting just my name, I'm promoting both myself and Scary Man to my audience. Majority of my audience recogonizes me as "Scary" so therefore, I've decided to take that into consideration and give my audience both. The content that you see on here reflect those of Scary Man and myself. All work that I do for clients, internships or myself is property of Scary Man Studios. As the creator of the work, I retain all the rights to it.

Mission Statement
My mission statement with Scary Man Studios is to reach out to the client and provide them with an aesthetic feel for design that makes their design memorable. What seperates my work from anyone else is that my work keeps the user engaged and locked in. The moment you see a piece of work from me, you're bound to remember that it came from me.

Since 2006, ScaryMan.com has incorporated the tagline, "Stylish Contemporary Multimedia". Being a versatile designer that specializes in various programs, I want my title to go with my tagline; which is why I'm known as a Digital Multimedia Designer.

I challenge you to embark on a journey that will visually entice and stimulate your mind. What you will see in my work is the passion and desire that keeps me going. I offer to you, the viewer, an experience like no other. My personal goal to the client is to strive for perfection, be passionate about design and to be obsessed with quality.
